The Department of Classics is devoted to fostering an equitable, inclusive, and supportive environment for students, faculty, and staff regardless of race, gender, sexuality, social class, age, disability, religion, or national origin. We strive to actively cultivate a climate of inclusion and security, while recognizing that we and the field still have much work to do to dismantle the racist underpinnings upon which classics has historically stood. 

Our page is meant to be a repository of information as we actively work towards a more inclusive and equitable classics field and CUNY Graduate Center environment.  The site is a work in progress.
